The company
MDJ Services is a flatbed, step deck, and end dump carrier based in Port Arthur, TX, running the I-10 corridor from Houston to Baton Rouge. We haul the freight that industrial and construction jobs actually run on — mats, steel, pipe, aggregate, precast, and rental equipment — day in and day out.
We’re not chasing exotic freight. We run a tight lane, on standard trailers, hauling the loads jobsites need moved on schedule. That focus is the point — fewer surprises, fewer delays, and a crew that knows the freight cold because we run it constantly.
It also means we understand what happens at the other end of the haul: deliveries timed around lifts, gates with badge lists, foremen who need the mats down before the crane shows up, ground too soft for a raised dump bed. We handle freight like people who have stood on the jobsite, because we have.

How we operate
01
Dispatch is reachable, and quotes are straight — no runaround, no phone tree, no waiting until tomorrow for a number.
02
Jobsite and crane schedules don’t wait, so neither do we. If a window moves, you hear it from us before it becomes your problem.
03
No shortcuts on load securement. Chains on steel, edge protection on straps, tarps when the finish matters.
04
Signed PODs and invoices that match the load, sent without being chased. Your billing folks will notice.
Our territory
Trucks run I-10 daily between Houston and Baton Rouge — covering Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana, including Beaumont, Lake Charles, and everywhere in between. Every city we cover is on the service areas page.
Why it works
Brokers and contractors keep coming back because we’ve built the business around doing ordinary things reliably — not around being flashy. That’s what keeps job sites moving, and keeps our customers off the phone worrying about their freight.
