The LNG build-out at the end of TX-87
Sabine Pass is where two of the biggest construction stories on the Gulf Coast are happening at once: Golden Pass LNG under Bechtel and Sempra’s Port Arthur LNG expansion, both stacked along the ship channel. Projects that size eat freight — mats by the hundreds, pipe, modules, temporary facilities, and a constant churn of contractor equipment. All of it funnels down one corridor, TX-87 out of Port Arthur, and our yard sits at the top of that corridor. For the subcontractors working those sites, we are the flatbed carrier that does not have to cross the county to reach the job.

This is not theoretical coverage. We have delivered to the Bechtel Energy Port Arthur site on South Gulfway Drive and to Gate B addresses in Sabine Pass, so the drill is familiar: the truck manifests, the check-in queue, the escort rules once you are inside the fence. On a schedule-driven LNG job, the carrier’s distance from the gate is a real line item, whether or not it is written down.

The load mix headed down TX-87 fits our trailers exactly. Timber and crane mats for work pads on soft channel-side ground. Bundled pipe and spools from area fab shops. Skidded equipment, generators, light towers, and the sea of temporary infrastructure a peak-manpower site consumes. Step decks handle the taller skids, flatbeds take the steel and mats, and for the odd overweight piece we know which permits the route requires before the load is booked.
